So can we just take a moment to ask, where the hell did January go? Well this month, I discovered some new bits and pieces I’ve been crazy over. As well as rekindling the flame for some golden oldies. Fancy reading about all those things I’ve been loving this month? Grab yourself a cuppa, because it might be a long one…
The binge-worthy show
Everyone and their mum has already watched this. So why did it take me so long?! I finally gave in when I saw it floating about on my Netflix recommended (sorry pals, I live abroad so don’t get too excited that it’s on UK Netflix, it isn’t!). Thank God that I did give in. I binged watched the first season in about two days! Broadchurch is your typical British, who-dun-it mystery. But with the biggest plot twist ever!
The prettiest mug
Winnie the Pooh has always been a love of mine since I was little, I mean still sleep with my Pooh bear teddy that I’ve had since I was 5… (No shame) So when my stepmum saw this mug in Cath Kidson, she instantly bought it for me. It’s the cutest thing ever. Just another mug to add to my growing Winnie the Pooh mug collection!
The red boots
I don’t know why I suddenly felt like I need a pair of red vinyl boots in my life, but I did. Then for Christmas, I was fortunate enough to receive them and they made all my dreams come true! I never realised how happy a pair of boots would make me, but they have been glued to my feet.
The birthday present
I had been dropping a few subtle hints about wanting this. Actually, who am I kidding? I was bloody obvious. So my dad and stepmum were lovely enough to listen to my very obvious hints and gifted me the HP Sprocket for my birthday. Being away from the UK has made me miss everyone, so this little portable photo printer makes me so happy. I’ve gone crazy and printed so many pics of all my fave humans!
The book
For some reason, I’ve always felt guilty about reading cosy, romantic novels because they aren’t ‘highbrow literature’. But screw it, they’re fun to read and surely that’s the reason we should read anyway? This month, I read The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes. It was slightly intense, but I loved the intertwining of the tale.
The music
Honey – Blushes: Back again, with another absolute banger. There is something slightly moody and unpredictable about this track, but the mix of female and male vocals are sugary and heavenly.
Lucky Girl – Fazerdaze: This track is the definition of dreamy with a sound that instantly creates a hazy, nostalgic feel.
Live in the Moment – Craig David ft Goldlink: The funky production of Goldlink with Craig David’s silky smooth vocals, this song is so catchy and flawless.
So, what things have you been loving this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
