Hannah's Place

A weekend in Brighton

April 24, 2017Lifestyle0

The weekend just gone was jam packed full of fun and exciting things for me! So I thought I’d share what I got up to with you guys…

My dad and stepmum were visiting Brighton this weekend from Dubai, so obviously it was great! I caught up with them on Friday, showed them around Brighton a bit and drank way too much cider! We wandered about the Laines, popped into the always quirky Snooper’s Paradise, took some hilarious photos in Photomatic and had some coffee.

During the day, I showed them two of my favourite pubs, The Black Lion and Seven Stars.  Both pubs are so lovely, play great music and serve great cider! So we munched on lots of nachos, olive tapenade and chips whilst drinking cider after a little mooch around town.

On Saturday,  we went to celebrate a family friend’s birthday at the Coach House! It was the most lovely shindig and I had the best time. A huge well done to Melissa for arranging such a fabulous party! There were great drinks, amazing company and delicious food. I couldn’t stop eating the mini bruschetta!

Then Monday I was booked in for a new tattoo with EJ at Angelic Hell! So my boyfriend, Nick, took the day off to come with me (and hold my hand in case I was feeling like a giant baby). So not only am I completely in love with my little cat and moon, but EJ was the most lovely person ever and put me at complete ease! After being tattooed, I was starting to get a bit hangry so we popped to Pinocchio’s for some lunch. Obviously, we both got carbonara and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten! Pinocchio’s can do a bloody good pasta and it has such traditional Italian feel. (It probably has something to do with the check-print table clothes!) Then I begged Nick to come try some doughnuts from Dum Dums  with me. They were good, but more like cakes and I was a little disappointed after expecting some proper doughnutty glazed goodness!
